Charity Status

The Nasio Fundation is not a registered charity, and thus we cannot give out tax credit receipts.

The Canada Revenue Agency states: "The courts do not accept the act of private benevolence as charitable, since it lacks the necessary element of public benefit. This means organizations that are formed to help named individuals or a private group do not qualify for charitable registration."

We recognise this will have a major impact on receiving sizable donations. But we hope this does not discourage you from contributing to the Foundation, under the knowledge that 100% of your donation will go to Nasiru. Unlike big charitable organisations, we don't have a paid CEO, advertising budget etc. And "charity" isn't always about receiving a tax credit! ;-).
